HIKING & MOUNTAIN BIKING TRAILS

There are a total of 60 miles of hiking trails and 20 miles of biking trails in this area of Northwest Nebraska.  The best map to use for these trails is the Nebraska Forest Service map.  It is very detailed.  
 
In the Fort Robinson State Park area which is 3 miles west of Crawford, Nebraska, there are four main trails, as follows:
  • White River Trail is 3 miles long, well maintained and is located between Crawford, Nebraska and Fort Robinson.  This trail is normally used by walkers and bicyclists.  As an annual event, the White River Trail is part of the 5K race during the July 4th weekend in Crawford, NE.
On the trail there are many opportunities for photography of the buttes located here in the Panhandle of Nebraska near Crawford, NE.


  • Fort Laramie to Fort Robinson - that is located in Sioux County;
  • Trooper Trail - Soldier Creek Wilderness Area
  • Boots & Saddles Trail - Soldier Creek Wilderness Area
