The Pine Ridge area has the state's best Merriam's turkey population and plenty of public access. The whitetail deer herd stands at over 300,000 in Nebraska. Over the past 10 years, the deer season has been open for an average of 117 days in the fall and winter hunting months which equals about six months of whitetail deer hunting opportunities. As you walk approximately 300 ft to the North of Creekside B&B, you will be on the Ponderosa Wildlife Management Area for public recreational use. The Pine Ridge Wildlife Management Headquarters for Ponderosa Wildlife Management Area is approximately 1 3/4 miles from Creekside B&B.
